On a relative's recommendation, I zoomed in to Restoran Perniagaan Bah Kut Teh Ang Kee, located just beside Maybank.
Here they serve the BKT in both the traditional soupy and dry varieties. More importantly both types are served in claypots just the way I like them. The soupy variety was slightly starchy but otherwise delectable. The dry variety was close to being perfect, the pork I could tell had simmered perfectly in the sauce which was not overly spicy. Vegetables and yau char kuey are available too.Restoran Perniagaan Bah Kut Teh Ang Kee

Starchy soup??
I would say, more like "thickened".
