Traditional Yong Tau Foo

If anyone is hunting for a place that serves traditional Yong Tau Foo - pork fillings and all, then this place, Restoran Family Yong Tau Foo, serves one of the better ones in this part of the world (if the medium to large crowd size is anything to go by). Each piece is RM0.90.

It is on the oilier side but I guess that's what makes the flavour. They also serve Hakka Yam Meat (RM15).

I have not tried it personally, but others who have, recommend it.

Only if you like the laced with "lard" version. M's YTF is big and tasty too - RM1.00 each - but does not appeal to those who prefer the "traditional".

Welcome to our home, renroc. Help yourself to our fridge, hee hee.

I was a loyal fan too of Margarets', following them in their journey around the Klang Valley. They first started in Kuchai Lama, before relocating to Chan Sow Lin and later to Seri Kembangan. Somewhere in between, her other son opened a branch in USJ. Somehow, I had always preferred the taste of the original branch with Margaret herself helming the kitchen. But today, sadly, likely due to economical reasons, the USJ branch is the only one left standing.

I used to dread the crowd, but the frustration vanished as soon as those crispy tofu puffs were served!
