HUNT FAQ #1: HOW SHOULD I WRITE THE ANSWER IF THE ANSWER THAT FITS THE QUESTION IS A SECONDARY SIGNAGE?

Thanks to a regular reader of this blog for contributing the first FAQ.

What I had observed after having clerked some hunts now and then in my free time, is that the infant hunters continue to make the same mistake of not answering to what is required, although I am confident that they had successfully located the answer.

Let us first consider this simple question that I had set in a previous hunt:

Q: A flying doctor's practice?
(Answer is found in the below signage)

A fair number of infant hunters answered VK Mobile. Why? Because subconsciously, these hunters believe that they have to answer all questions picking only from the main signages (Not that they were not attentive during the briefing).

The most accurate answer to the above question would be:
Ans: Mobile Clinic Sales & Service @ VK Mobile
(Dimiliki oleh: Mobile Clinic Sales & Service @ VK Mobile is acceptable too)

Side-tracking somewhat to explain the answer. Many towns in rural Australia do not have permanent clinics. A team of medical staff, usually led by a doctor, flies from one rural town to the next in a light aircraft to service its residents, hence the moniker the Flying Doctor.

There are two important points to remember when answering a question:

1) Does your pick fully answer the question? VK Mobile on its own certainly doesn't.
2) The Main signage must not be excluded from your final solution. Most CoCs want you to tell them where you spotted the answer to avoid hunters merely deducing the answer on paper. VK Mobile plays this role in this example.

Good coaching, Mr. HuntingLine.

With just this tip alone, all up-and-coming hunters have improved their scores by at least 50%!

And may I add:

Pay attention during briefings on this point by COC.

Listen to what they expect on how the answers should be written - they always talk about it, because there will always be newbies in every hunt.

The "strictness" varies with each COC. Ignore at your own peril!

They also give examples in the handouts and also in the briefing presentations - and definitely in the final answers presentation.
